Wynnchurch Capital portfolio company EMS has acquired Deerfield Beach, Florida-based AMD Supply, a distributor of fencing, hurricane shutters and aluminum products serving the southeastern US, for undisclosed terms. According to EMS, the deal expands its offering across fencing and hurricane protection products. AMD is the eighth acquisition EMS has completed under Wynnchurch’s ownership.
AMD was founded in 2006 and serves fence contractors, general contractors, manufacturers, dealers and builders across Florida, the southeastern US, the Caribbean and Latin America. Its products include aluminum and vinyl fencing, hurricane shutters, standard and custom aluminum extrusions, tubular motors and accessories, screen doors, hardware and castings.
EMS is headquartered in Lake Worth, Florida, and distributes aluminum products to industrial, commercial, residential and marine end markets. Founded in 1982 with a single Florida location, it now operates more than 20 distribution and manufacturing facilities totaling nearly 2 million square feet.
Wynnchurch invests in industrial businesses and is currently investing out of its sixth private equity fund. It has approximately $9.1 billion of assets under management. Foley & Lardner acted as legal adviser to EMS and Wynnchurch.
