New Water Capital has acquired Lid Works, a Plant City, Florida-based manufacturer of custom food and beverage lids, for an undisclosed amount. Founded in 1985 and family-owned, Lid Works supplies major clients including Burger King, 7 Eleven, and Jamba Juice from its single facility, producing over two billion lids annually. Nicholas La Rosa, vice-president at New Water Capital, highlighted the company’s flexible production model and double-digit revenue growth over the past three years. The firm plans to expand through add-on acquisitions in custom packaging and establish a second production facility in the Northeast or West Coast.

Meanwhile, private equity activity is surging in the cybersecurity sector, driven by rising AI-related threats. Carlyle acquired Secturion Systems in July, while Clearlake Capital-backed Quest Software purchased Anetac, an AI-powered identity security provider. Other deals include Agellus Capital-backed Compass MSP’s acquisition of The Logic Group and Alchemy Technology Group’s purchase of IOvations.

In other news, Carlyle, Dynasty Equity, and Sixth Street have taken minority stakes in the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, reflecting continued PE interest in sports franchises.
