Sony is reviving its popular WH-1000XM4 headphones as the refreshed WH-1000 XM4C (second-generation), priced at $300 — $50 less than the original 2020 launch and $150 below the current WH-1000 XM6. The XM4C retains the same design, QN1 chip-powered ANC, multipoint Bluetooth, and adds Sony's latest sound profile, 10-band and gaming EQs, and Quick Access for one-touch streaming launches. Battery life drops to 27 hours with ANC (three hours less than the original), but quick charging now delivers an hour of playback in three minutes.

For the midrange, Sony introduces the WH-CH730N at $180, replacing the WH-CH720N. It features a redesigned folding headband, revised ANC promising 10% less noise, AI-enhanced call quality, natural-sounding vocals, Background Music Mode, and massive battery gains: 50 hours with ANC on (75 off). Safe listening tools include volume limits and usage tracking. It arrives in September in five colors.

The budget WH-CH530 ($70) replaces the WH-CH520 with improved sound, 10-band and gaming EQs, 55-hour battery (up five hours), AI call enhancements, and the same safe listening features. It launches in September in six colors.
