Kimi Antonelli topped second practice at the Spanish Grand Prix at the new Madring circuit, pipping Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, while Arvid Lindblad crashed.

Antonelli set the fastest lap of 1m33.662s on soft tyres, leading Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. The 5.4km track, a hybrid of street and purpose-built sections, proved tricky with minimal runoff.

Lindblad crashed at Turn 13 with 25 minutes left, bringing out a red flag. He was unharmed. The interruption meant no further improvements at the top.

George Russell and Max Verstappen were fifth and sixth. Oscar Piastri was seventh after a difficult day for McLaren, while Lando Norris retired early with a transmission issue. Yuki Tsunoda, Esteban Ocon, and Liam Lawson completed the top 10.

Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso finished 16th and 17th, with Alonso delayed by a clutch issue.
