Tiger Woods is hoping to play a full TGL schedule this season and could return to competitive action before the end of 2026, according to former team-mate Kevin Kisner.

Woods has not appeared on the PGA Tour since missing the cut at The Open in July 2024. The 15-time major champion also made only one appearance in the TGL, a tech-infused indoor golf league, last season due to injury. The former world No 1 has yet to publicly announce a return to action, having been suspended from driving for five years in September after entering a plea agreement to a reckless driving charge for March's car crash.

Woods was listed in Jupiter Links GC's expanded five-player roster for the 2026/27 season. Kisner, who has been replaced in the line-up by Keith Mitchell, said he is no longer on the team and that Tiger Woods wants to play a full schedule. "I had a two-year contract with Jupiter Links. Tiger wants to play and they wanted to sign Keith Mitchell, which is totally fine with me," Kisner said on the Fore Play Podcast. He added that Woods' manager, Rob McNamara, had texted him about the team's plans.

The new TGL season features a seventh team and begins on December 27, live on Sky Sports. Woods was not listed in the initial player field for December's Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, although he could still be included as a sponsor's exemption. Kisner expects him to play both the Hero World Challenge and the PNC Championship, alongside his son Charlie Woods, before preparing for Augusta. "He can't have any more setbacks injury-wise," Kisner said. "The guy loves to compete."

Woods is currently listed as 'unranked' in the OWGR standings, having completed only four 72-hole tournaments over the last six years.
