Tottenham Women's Manager Martin Ho Signs Long-Term Deal Before North London Derby

Tottenham Hotspur Women's manager Martin Ho has signed a new long-term contract extension, just nine months after arriving at the club. The 35-year-old has overseen a dramatic turnaround at Spurs, who finished 11th in the WSL last season but now sit fifth in the table.

Ho revealed the contract caught him by surprise when managing director Andy Rodgers reached out three weeks ago. "They wanted to make sure I'm here for the longer term to work on this project and take it forward," Ho told Sky Sports. The club views Tottenham as "a sleeping giant in women's football" that needs "direction and polishing" to reach elite status.

Despite recent back-to-back WSL losses to Everton and Manchester City, Ho remains focused on building consistency. "If you want to close that gap, you need consistency - that's the biggest thing for me," he said. Tottenham will face Arsenal this weekend, live on Sky Sports, where they held their North London rivals to a goalless draw in November.

The contract extension provides Ho with the stability to continue developing the squad and infrastructure at Tottenham. With the team six points from fourth place but nine clear of the rest, the club appears to be establishing itself as a genuine contender in the WSL.
