Francisco Roig, Emma Raducanu's former coach, has joined Iga Swiatek's team just two months after parting ways with the British player. Swiatek confirmed the appointment on Instagram, posting a photo with Roig and expressing excitement about the new coaching partnership.

Raducanu split with Roig in late January following her second-round exit at the Australian Open, with Roig being her ninth coach since her 2021 US Open triumph. Meanwhile, Swiatek had parted ways with coach Wim Fissette after losing her opening match at the Miami Open following a quarter-final exit at Indian Wells.

The 17-year coaching veteran Roig brings valuable experience gained from his long association with Rafael Nadal. Swiatek made the strategic timing change before the clay court season begins, which has traditionally been her strongest surface. Raducanu, meanwhile, remains without a permanent coach and recently withdrew from the Linz Open due to illness.
