Killian Phillips scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for St Mirren over St Johnstone, firing a penalty in the 73rd minute. The Perth side's victory keeps them top of the table, and manager Craig McLeish's side look in strong form.

Phillips followed up his opening-day double at Falkirk with the spot-kick, while Toby Steward conceded the penalty. St Johnstone's best chance fell to Samuel Ramos, who headed a cross at Steward. The hosts were left with a series of shots blocked as they tried to push forward in the closing stages.
