Tottenham have no intention of selling Micky van de Ven, with the club planning new contract talks. The Dutch defender has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal, which runs until 2029. Spurs boss Thomas Frank dismissed reports of Van de Ven pushing for a summer move, insisting the 24-year-old is "very important" and "happy" at the club.

Van de Ven joined Spurs from Wolfsburg in a £43m deal and has become a key figure, scoring six goals this season. His importance was cemented by a vital clearance in last season's Europa League final win. Despite ongoing injury issues in Frank's squad, the defender has remained fit, making 29 appearances.

Frank's position has been under scrutiny, but he revealed another supportive lunch with the club hierarchy. With Tottenham languishing in 14th place, securing Van de Ven's future is a priority as they look to rebuild. The club will aim to formalise talks with his representatives soon.
