Following two consecutive seasons finishing 17th in the Premier League, with their top-flight status secured only on the final day of the 2025-2026 campaign, Van de Ven is looking forward to a fresh start. Van de Ven believes the upcoming season will be markedly different, especially with a more offensive style of play. "It's going to be different compared to the manager we had last season," he remarked. "It's also going to be more enjoyable for people to watch because we'll be playing offensive football.
