De la Fuente expressed his disappointment, stating that such reactions cannot be allowed, especially from players he otherwise respects.

He highlighted Spain's composure amidst the aggression and provocation. While Argentina players turned their backs on the trophy celebration, Spain's squad formed a guard of honour. FIFA's Disciplinary Committee is reviewing the prosecutor's report on these breaches.
