Enzo Maresca considers it a "privilege" to succeed Pep Guardiola as manager of Manchester City. Having previously served as Guardiola's assistant, Maresca acknowledged the challenge of following such a successful tenure but stated he is not daunted.

"I consider Pep the best coach in the world in the last 20, 25 years," Maresca said. "It's a challenge, it's nice, a privilege." He also expressed feeling "back home" and "very good" since his return to the club.

Maresca addressed speculation surrounding midfielder Rodri, who has been linked with Real Madrid after a key role in Spain's World Cup win. Rodri is set for back surgery but Maresca expects the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner to be part of his squad next season. "Every manager wants to have Rodri, because he's a top player," Maresca commented.

Manchester City has already invested £116 million on new signings, including Elliot Anderson. Maresca hinted at further transfer activity, stating, "There are probably a few things to do, but we are in the process to do that."
