Southampton extended their unbeaten run to 14 games with a 2-0 victory over Oxford United at St Mary's Stadium. A Shea Charles wonder goal and a Cyle Larin strike secured the win, marking Southampton's ninth Championship victory in 12 games as they continue their push for promotion.

Manager Tonda Eckert made tactical changes to a side showing fatigue after 17 matches since the new year. With Leo Scienza out injured, Finn Azaz moved to the left wing and Cameron Archer played behind Larin. The changes paid off as Southampton dominated from the start.

The first goal came in the 10th minute when Taylor Harwood-Bellis split the defense for Tom Fellows, whose cross found Larin for a simple finish. Charles then doubled the lead with a stunning 30-yard curler into the top corner. Despite Oxford's improved pressure in the second half, Southampton held firm for a comfortable victory that keeps them firmly in the promotion race.
