Jamie Redknapp claimed that Savio 'lit up the place' on his Tottenham debut, praising the Brazilian winger's flair and end product. The 22-year-old joined for £85m from Manchester City and instantly impressed by scoring and assisting in just 20 minutes during Spurs' 5-1 Carabao Cup victory over Charlton. Redknapp said he was exactly the type of spark fans want, capable of cutting inside and hitting ferocious left-footed shots.

However, manager Roberto De Zerbi has challenged Savio to improve, telling him he needs 10 or 12 goals from his winger position to compete for higher honors. De Zerbi emphasized that last season's goal output was insufficient for challenging beyond 17th place. Savio's arrival provides much-needed attacking impetus for a Tottenham side that scored just 48 league goals last campaign.
