Ronnie O'Sullivan will make his World Seniors Snooker Championship debut in May 2026, just weeks after competing in the main World Championship. The 50-year-old, who won his first world title 25 years ago, joins an impressive field including Stuart Bingham and Reanne Evans at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

O'Sullivan's participation marks a unique double-header, with the seniors tournament running May 6-10, immediately following the main championship that concludes May 4. Chairman Jason Francis called O'Sullivan "the most commercially valuable player the sport has ever seen," anticipating increased ticket sales. The Rocket's inclusion comes after rule changes allowed players ranked in the world's top 64 to compete.

This development adds another chapter to O'Sullivan's storied career as he seeks his eighth world title and first seniors crown. The Dubai-based star will relocate to Sheffield for April and May, appearing in his 34th consecutive World Snooker Championship. With Jimmy White holding four seniors titles, O'Sullivan aims to add this accolade to his record-equalling seven world championships won over 25 years as a professional.
