Reigning Formula 1 world champion Lando Norris has extended his contract with McLaren until at least 2030. The 26-year-old Brit's previous deal ran until 2027, but the new agreement adds at least four more seasons with a multi-year option beyond 2030. Norris claimed the 2025 title to become Britain's 11th world champion and the first McLaren driver to triumph since Lewis Hamilton in 2008. The announcement follows his victory in the Netherlands last weekend, his 13th career Grand Prix win.

Norris said: "McLaren is my home, and I'm very pleased to be signing a new contract to keep me with the team until at least 2030. When I started this journey nine years ago, I was clear about the goals I wanted to achieve: to get McLaren back to the front and to win championships. We've achieved that goal, but we want more."

Team principal Andrea Stella described Norris as "an exceptional driver, someone who combines outstanding natural speed with maturity, consistency and a strong commitment to McLaren. But above all, he is a special human being who is valued by everyone in the team."

Norris is fourth in the drivers' standings, 83 points behind leader Kimi Antonelli with 11 rounds remaining. His teammate Oscar Piastri is contracted until 2028, while Max Verstappen recently extended with Red Bull until 2030.
