Moeen Ali has revealed his ambition to become England's head coach, using his current role with the Lions in Pakistan to learn from Andrew Flintoff. The former England all-rounder, who played 68 Tests, 138 ODIs and 92 T20s, is serving on Flintoff's backroom staff during the white-ball tour against Pakistan Shaheens.

Moeen sees this opportunity as crucial for his coaching development, particularly in understanding Flintoff's leadership style. "Definitely the goal is to be a head coach of an international cricket team," Moeen stated, adding that "being England head coach would be amazing." He's studying for his ECB Level Three qualification while transitioning away from playing.

Moeen is particularly interested in Flintoff's motivational approach and emotional intelligence. "Freddie has this aura about him. As a player and even as a coach, he doesn't get down, he understands emotions and players," he explained. The 37-year-old also praised Ben Stokes' potential as a future coach, with whom he'll work during the UAE leg of the tour while Stokes rehabs from injury.
