Callum McGregor insists Celtic hold the edge in the Scottish Premiership title race despite sitting third in the table, three points behind leaders Hearts. The captain dismissed speculation over his future at the club, telling reporters he sees enough in daily training to believe the Hoops can overhaul their rivals over the final five games.

The champions find themselves in unfamiliar territory, trailing both Hearts and Rangers as the post-split fixtures begin. Yet McGregor points to their resilience after changing managers twice this season, reaching two cup finals and fighting back from a difficult position. Celtic have won 13 of the last 14 league titles, and they kick off their run-in on Saturday at home to Falkirk, live on Sky Sports.

The 32-year-old, who has won 24 major trophies with the club, was linked with a move to Saudi side Al Qadsiah in January. But McGregor was clear: "I've come through since I was eight years old. It's in my DNA. I want to be here." He believes the team's late goals and fighting spirit prove they have the mentality to finish the job.
