The cut mark sat at 10 under, ending the five-time major winner's hopes of a strong finish in this PGA Tour team event. Lowry won this event two years ago alongside Rory McIlroy, who is absent this year.

Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick surged into contention with the lowest round of the day, a seven-under 65 in Friday's foursomes format.
