Zak Crawley's unbeaten 75 guided Kent to a seven-wicket win over defending champions Somerset with 10 balls to spare. Tom Clark of Sussex had earlier blasted 79 off 29 deliveries, hitting six sixes, before Muyeye caught him at deep midwicket off Dian Forrester. Forrester then edged close to a hat-trick, removing John Simpson and catching and bowling Tom Alsop on consecutive deliveries.

Kent faced 198 for victory after James Coles and Jack Leaning steadied the chase with 28 and 30 runs respectively. Opening batter Muyeye contributed 26 before falling to Henry Crocomb. Daniel Bell-Drummound reached 29 when a lofted shot was caught by Tymal Mills, but Crawley held firm, possibly motivated by his recent England Test omission.

Sam Billings fell for 28, then Crawley and Dian Forrester added 35 together to seal the win. The result hands Somerset a rocky start to their title defence in the Vitality Blast 2026.
