Hong Kong sprinting sensation Ka Ying Rising extended his unbeaten streak to 18 consecutive victories with a dominant win in the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup on Sunday. The Group One triumph came in track record time at Sha Tin, where the superstar colt streaked clear of rivals never appearing to be pushed beyond third gear.

This historic achievement breaks the 21-year-old record set by Silent Witness for consecutive wins in Hong Kong. Trainer David Hayes revealed plans to manage the colt conservatively for another couple of seasons, targeting the Group Two Sprint Cup next on April 6. Eight of Ka Ying Rising's victories have come at the highest level, with all but his 2023 Everest triumph at Randwick taking place at his beloved Sha Tin.

Jockey Zac Purton, who notched his fifth Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup victory, described the horse as "different" and "in a league of his own." The eight-year-old's 742-day winning streak has seen him break track records in his last three starts, with Purton noting the colt was actually the youngest horse in Sunday's field despite his dominance. As Hong Kong racing celebrates this remarkable achievement, Ka Ying Rising's legacy continues to grow with each flawless performance.
