Hull KR claimed their first-ever World Club Challenge title with a dramatic 30-24 victory over NRL champions Brisbane Broncos at the MKM Stadium. The Robins built an impressive 18-4 halftime lead through tries from Tom Amone, Elliot Minchella, and Joe Burgess, silencing the pre-match favourites.

Brisbane mounted a furious second-half comeback, scoring four unanswered tries to cut the deficit to just one point with four minutes remaining. Hull KR weathered the storm despite losing Arthur Mourgue to injury and reshuffling their backline, with Jez Litten moving to halves and Mikey Lewis to fullback. The Broncos' relentless pressure saw them score three tries in five minutes through Pat Carrigan, Deine Mariner, and Gehamat Shibasaki.

Hull KR's victory makes them the fifth Super League team to win the prestigious trophy, joining St Helens and Wigan in recent years. The win extends Brisbane's World Club Challenge drought to 28 years, with their last triumph coming in 1997. The Robins' triumph at their rivals' home ground, kitted out in red flags and club anthems, created a partisan atmosphere that helped secure their place in rugby league history.
