Haeran Ryu holds the halfway lead at the AIG Women's Open, with Charley Hull and Lottie Woad within striking distance. Ryu, seeking a third consecutive major title, recovered from an early deficit to post a two-under 69 at Royal Lytham & St Annes, moving to seven under.

Japan's Shiho Kuwaki is one shot back, followed by Jeeno Thitikul and Solheim Cup hopeful Yealimi Noh. Woad and Hull are both on two under after rounds of 71. Hull battled through a mixed round, including a brilliant chip-in birdie, while Woad dropped shots late in her round.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda is also in contention at one under after a second-round 68. Defending champion Miyu Yamashita missed the cut. The battle for Solheim Cup spots continues, with Anna Nordqvist set to announce her captain's picks.
