Former world champion George Groves has urged organizers to stage the Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua mega-fight at Wembley Stadium. Groves, who helped establish Wembley as a premier boxing venue during his 2014 rematch against Carl Froch, believes the British heavyweights deserve to settle their rivalry on home soil. Both fighters have previously headlined the national stadium for world title fights.

"I'd love to see it at Wembley," Groves told Sky Sports. "It's the home of British boxing on that scale. It's the home of sport in Britain." The former WBA super-middleweight champion stressed that British fans deserve easy access to witness what he calls "the two best heavyweights from Britain from our era" get it on. Groves expressed disappointment at the possibility of the fight taking place abroad.

Joshua's scheduled comeback fight in July and potential tune-up bout for Fury could further delay their long-awaited showdown. "People have really invested in this fight," Groves noted, acknowledging fans' patience. Groves made his comments while visiting West Ham amateur boxing club, emphasizing how boxing develops skills that serve both in and outside the ring.
