Falkirk delivered their best performance of the season to thrash Kilmarnock 5-1 and all-but secure a top-six finish in the Scottish Premiership. The hosts took the lead inside the first minute when Ethan Schilte-Brown diverted Calvin Miller's cutback into his own net.

Falkirk dominated throughout, with Dylan Tait and Barney Stewart each scoring twice. Stewart's second goal in the 50th minute effectively ended the contest, as he calmly side-footed home from six yards after another dangerous low cross from Miller. Tait completed his brace with a spectacular swerving effort from the edge of the box.

The victory moves Falkirk 12 points clear of seventh-placed Dundee United with only five games remaining before the league split. Kilmarnock remain 11th after this damaging defeat, losing ground to 10th-placed St Mirren. The result represents a significant setback for Neil McCann's side, who had shown improvement in recent weeks.
