The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suspended Fakhar Zaman for two PSL matches after he was found guilty of ball-tampering during Lahore Qalandars' four-wicket defeat to Karachi Kings. The incident occurred in the final over of the chase when Fakhar, Lahore captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, and fast bowler Haris Rauf discussed the ball. Fakhar and Rauf passed the ball between them, violating cricket's Law 41.3.2.

Fakhar denied the charge but lost his appeal at a disciplinary hearing. The PCB confirmed the suspension, citing a Level III offence. Lahore Qalandars' seamer Haris Rauf took a wicket immediately after the ball change, but Kings' Abbas Afridi sealed the win with back-to-back boundaries.

The PSL has faced ongoing disciplinary scrutiny, including a PKR 20 million fine for Naseem Shah's social media post and a PKR 1 million penalty for Shaheen Shah Afridi over security breaches. The match highlighted tensions around player conduct and officiating in the league.
