England’s Eleanor Givens secured her first Ladies European Tour (LET) title at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open after a record‑breaking 210th attempt. The 37‑year‑old carded a five‑under 66 on the final day in Zug, taking the lead at 17 and holding it with a flawless round to finish 12 under.

The tournament also saw a memorable moment when Alexandra Försterling had her ball stuck in a tree, yet managed a par at 14. She finished tied for second, 12 under, alongside Ireland’s Anna Foster and Australia’s Whitney Hillier, while Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjaell rounded out the top five at 11 under.

Givens’ week was remarkably consistent, recording only one bogey and three under in the opening round.
