Chelsea bounced back from back-to-back pre-season defeats with a convincing 3-0 win over AC Milan in Jakarta, marking their best performance under Xabi Alonso so far.

The Blues ditched their hybrid 4-2-3-1 formation in favor of Alonso's preferred 3-4-3 system, which paid dividends against the Serie A side. Joao Pedro opened the scoring before halftime, glancing home Moises Caicedo's corner delivery past Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani. He doubled the lead early in the second half by converting Pedro Neto's in-swinging cross at the back post.

Caicedo then turned provider for himself, volleying home another corner routine. Marco Palestra impressed at left wing-back, while new set-piece coach Austin McPhee's influence was already visible with Chelsea scoring twice from corners.

The victory provides a morale boost ahead of their remaining pre-season fixtures, including matches against Johor Darul Ta'zim and Real Sociedad.
