Ben Pauling's Ascot treble saw The Jukebox Kid win the Reynoldstown Novices' Chase, five and a half lengths clear under Ben Jones. The Jukebox Kid, sent off 4-9 favourite, delivered an assured display for the trainer. This victory follows earlier successes with Mondoui'boy in the Betfair Novices' Hurdle and Fiercely Proud in the Betfair Exchange Handicap Hurdle, completing a hat-trick for Pauling. The Jukebox Kid's performance has now put Cheltenham on the agenda, though Pauling remains cautious about the trip. He stated: 'His jumping is his asset and this horse can be cold early so I was really pleased to see him jump off and attack his fences.'

Pauling's day was further sweetened by Montregard's Swinley Handicap Chase win under Kielan Woods, a £100,000 prize. The seven-year-old course-and-distance winner, pulled up at Kempton before, now eyes the Kim Muir at Cheltenham. Trainer Tom Lacey expressed delight, saying: 'I'm absolutely over the moon... to win a £100,000 race at Ascot is what you want.'

Pauling also celebrated a personal milestone, erasing the memory of a disastrous day at Ascot two years ago. His stable's success underscores his current form, with all three winners highlighting the quality of his string ahead of potential high-profile assignments.
