Beau Greaves made history as the first woman to win a PDC ranking title, defeating Michael Smith 8-7 in Monday's Players Championship 11 final in Milton Keynes. The 22-year-old from Doncaster hit a stunning 142 checkout in the deciding leg to seal a landmark victory, calling it "probably the best three darts I have ever thrown."

The two-time Women's World Matchplay champion eliminated three former world champions en route to the title, overcoming Rob Cross, Gary Anderson, and Smith in her final three matches. "I am chuffed and it will take me a while to get over it," Greaves told Sky Sports. Despite the historic nature of her achievement, she kept celebrations low-key — returning to her hotel for pizza and hot chocolate.

Greaves has made a seamless transition as a PDC Tour Card Holder, now sitting within £4,000 of the provisional qualification spots for October's World Grand Prix. She has also landed two nine-darts in 2026. "I am just really happy at the moment," she said. "I am really enjoying life."
