Beau Greaves claimed her third Women's World Matchplay title in four years, edging out Fallon Sherrock 6-5 in a thrilling final in Blackpool. The Doncaster arrowsmith kicked off her title bid with an assured 5-1 triumph over Kirsi Viinikainen before surviving a scare against Gemma Hayter. Greaves set up a winner-takes-all clash with Sherrock, who took back-to-back legs to level at 5-5 and force a decider. They shared maximums but Greaves came out on top with a checkout of 56 to secure the crown.

Greaves has won a record 57 PDC Women's Series titles but admitted feeling "deflated" after the last Women's Series, saying "I just felt a bit like everybody wanted me to lose." The 22-year-old now plans to focus on her Tour Card and the men's game: "I think now I'll concentrate on the Pro Tour and the Euro Tour that I've qualified for." She became the first woman to win a PDC ranking title with an 8-7 victory over Michael Smith and has qualified for both the Hungarian Darts Trophy and Czech Darts Open.

Greaves' victory secured her place in the 2026 Grand Slam of Darts and 2027 World Darts Championship. "I'm really enjoying the challenge," she said, though acknowledging inconsistency: "I can be very consistent... I know I can beat anybody on my day." Sherrock accepted defeat gracefully: "Beau deserved to win. She was the better player."
