Aston Villa has signed Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea on a season-long loan, with a conditional obligation to buy that is considered easily achievable. The total package reportedly meets Chelsea's valuation of £42.6m for the winger.

Garnacho, who joined Chelsea last summer from Manchester United for £40m, departs less than a year later. Manchester United could receive approximately £260k due to a 10% sell-on clause. The Argentina international winger had not reported for pre-season training at Chelsea to facilitate his move.

The transfer follows the recent £117m British-record deal for Morgan Rogers moving from Villa to Chelsea. Villa boss Unai Emery expressed delight, stating Garnacho's talent and desire to join their project. Garnacho will wear the No. 17 shirt.
