Estevao Willian delivered an electric performance in Chelsea's 2-0 win over Manchester United, marking his first Premier League start of the season. The 19-year-old Brazilian winger, signed for £38m from Palmeiras, had six shots, created three chances, and delivered eight crosses. His early goal was ruled offside, and a second-half near-post finish was disallowed.
Despite limited recent involvement, sources close to Estevao deny any discontent, citing professionalism and bad luck with form of other attackers. Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso confirmed the decision to start him was made after the Tottenham defeat. The victory was sealed by Morgan Rogers' £117m club-record signing magic in the 50th minute, described as 'Gascoigne-esque' by Joe Cole.
Manchester United, managed by Michael Carrick, dominated the first half but failed to convert chances. Chelsea faced challenges with eight players unavailable, including injured striker Joao Pedro.
