Aaron Rai holed an eagle and four birdies over the final 10 holes to claim the PGA Championship at Aronimink, ending a 107-year wait for an English winner and snapping a 10-year streak of American champions. Jon Rahm finished tied-second, his strongest major since winning The Masters in 2023, while defending champion Scottie Scheffler tied for 14th after missing six putts from inside five feet.

Bryson DeChambeau's week told a different story entirely. The two-time US Open champion missed the cut by three shots, finishing joint-last among the 11 LIV Golf players in the field — his third missed cut in four majors since joining the circuit. Four LIV Golfers finished in the top 20, giving the tour an improved showing despite Saudi PIF pulling funding and its future hanging in the balance.

Rory McIlroy finished five strokes back, unable to find fairways in the thick rough, and Jordan Spieth fell short in his pursuit of a career Grand Slam. Brandel Chamblee noted that the punishing conditions held the game's elite accountable — every one of the top-10 players had a problem on Sunday. Rai, world No 54, wore down a congested leaderboard to claim the Wanamaker Trophy.
