Jaxon Smith-Njigba publicly criticized a glaring error on his Offensive Player of Year trophy, which incorrectly labeled him as Defensive Player of the Year. The Seattle Seahawks star posted an Instagram video showing the $168.6 million contract recipient pointing out both the major misclassification and a smaller typo where "TheYear" lacked proper spacing.

The 24-year-old receiver, fresh off a Super Bowl victory and setting career highs with 119 catches for 1,793 yards, expressed frustration with the repeated mistakes. His four-year extension made him NFL's highest-paid wide receiver, yet he feels overlooked despite elite production.

Smith-Njigba referenced a similar slight at February's NFL Honors when his name was mispronounced multiple times. In a follow-up Instagram story, he wrote: "Just keep the award at this point. Leave it in the history books tho." The wide receiver's frustration highlights ongoing recognition issues despite his on-field excellence.
