USWNT's Rodman Injury Status: Hayes Provides Update

USWNT head coach Emma Hayes said Trinity Rodman is 'fine' and fully training ahead of Wednesday's match against Canada, easing concerns about a potential back injury. Rodman went down in stoppage time during Sunday's 2-0 win over Argentina after a challenge from behind, receiving medical attention for several minutes before leaving the field.

Rodman has battled back issues for years, missing nearly four months last season and dealing with a major flare-up during the 2024 playoffs. The 23-year-old recently signed the largest contract in the world with the Washington Spirit but has appeared in only four matches for the USWNT since the 2024 Olympic gold medal. Defender Lilly Reale also left training camp with a foot injury after coming off the bench Sunday.

Rodman's injury history includes an MCL sprain in October that limited her playoff time with the Spirit. Her return to the national team in January marked her first appearance since April 2025. The United States faces Canada in Columbus, Ohio, in the second match of the three-game SheBelieves Cup.
