United States striker Patrick Agyemang was stretchered off during Derby County's 2-0 victory over Stoke City after suffering a non-contact injury. The 25-year-old landed awkwardly in the first half and was immediately removed from the match on a stretcher. Manager John Eustace confirmed Agyemang will undergo scans to determine the severity of the injury.

Agyemang has been impressive in his debut European season with Derby, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists across 37 Championship appearances. The striker ranks second only to Carlton Morris on Derby's goalscoring list for 2025-26. Since joining from MLS side Charlotte FC last summer, he has established himself as a key player for the club.

With the World Cup approaching in June, any serious injury could jeopardize Agyemang's chances of making the U.S. roster. He recently scored for the national team in a 5-2 loss to Belgium and was competing for a backup striker position behind AS Monaco's Folarin Balogun. The U.S. opens Group D play against Paraguay on June 12 at SoFi Stadium.
