The win marks a successful preseason outing for the Italian side, who now turn their attention to the Coppa Italia against Padova. Barcelona will continue their preseason preparations with matches against Basel and Egyptian side Al Ahly in the Joan Gamper Trophy.

Nottingham Forest also participated in the triangular tournament, losing both their matches. Forest's upcoming fixtures include games against Bayer Leverkusen and Brest before their Premier League campaign begins against Leeds United.
