Lamine Yamal opened the scoring for Barça from the spot in his first appearance since the World Cup, giving the Spanish side a slim edge in a 5-2 win over Basel.

The 18‑year‑old Jesse Bisiwu, who joined Barça from Club Brugge for €8 million, announced himself with a late brace, scoring in the 89th and 91st minutes.

Other key moments included Jean Doucouré equalising for Basel, Karim Adeyemi opening the score for Barça, and Hamza Abdelkarim restoring the lead in the second half. New summer signings Anthony Gordon and Dani Olmo also made their preseason debuts.

With the match finished, Barça will shift focus to the Joan Gamper Trophy offspring against Al Ahly, a final friendlyokho before kicking off their La Liga defence at Elche on Aug. 23.
