Cristiano Ronaldo will make his return for Al Nassr on Friday after missing over a month with a hamstring injury. The Portugal forward, who limped off during Al Nassr's 3-1 win over Al Fayha on Feb. 28, was named in the starting lineup against Al Najma. Coach Jorge Jesus had previously described the injury as "more serious than they were expecting."

Ronaldo's absence forced him to skip Portugal's pre-World Cup friendlies against Mexico and the United States while he received treatment in Spain. Al Nassr go into Friday's match three points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings, maintaining their position despite their star striker's injury layoff.

The 41-year-old is chasing his first major title since moving to Saudi Arabia in December 2022. Currently third in the golden boot race, Ronaldo sits four goals behind leader Ivan Toney of Al Ahli. His return provides a timely boost for Al Nassr as they push for league glory.
