Real Madrid are exploring a move for Chelsea's Colombian striker Mayra Ramírez, sources confirm. The 26-year-old forward has impressed since joining Chelsea from Levante in January 2024, establishing herself as an elite goalscorer. Madrid executives believe her arrival would strengthen their forward line as they aim to solidify their position among Europe's top teams, having reached the Champions League quarterfinals for consecutive seasons.

The Spanish club particularly values Ramírez's goalscoring ability and physical presence. However, the transfer faces obstacles - Ramírez has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2028, with Chelsea having paid a then world-record €450,000 transfer fee in 2024. More concerning, the Colombian hasn't played since August 2025 due to a hamstring injury that required surgery and later relapsed during rehabilitation, as acknowledged by Chelsea coach Sonia Bompastor.

Despite these challenges, Madrid will monitor her progress closely in coming months with a view to making a move this summer. The potential transfer would reunite Ramírez with fellow Colombian international Linda Caicedo, who recently extended her contract at the Spanish club until 2030. Madrid currently hosts Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie, seeking to improve upon last season's quarterfinal exit against Arsenal.
