United States star Christian Pulisic suffered a microfracture and bone bruise in his lower leg during the team's World Cup exit against Belgium, sources confirmed to ESPN. The injury occurred seven minutes into the second half as Pulisic attempted a shot, striking the leg of Belgium's Youri Tielemans.

Pulisic tried to play through the pain but was substituted in the 59th minute. This latest setback adds to a tournament where he also battled a calf injury sustained in training. He missed a match against Australia and played limited minutes against Turkey before returning to start against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Sources indicate Pulisic will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks, targeting a return to training with AC Milan in August. His club opens its season on August 23 against Torino, meaning he will begin life under new manager Ruben Amorim dealing with this injury.
