ESPN Soccer has ranked all 18 new NWSL team jerseys for the 2026 season, with Boston Legacy's secondary kit landing at the bottom of the list. The league's expansion teams, Boston Legacy and Denver Summit, each unveiled two new kits as they prepare for their inaugural campaigns. Boston Legacy's 'Common Ground Kit' attempted to honor neighborhood unity but fell flat with its dated 1990s color palette and lack of recognizable emblems.

Denver Summit's offerings were similarly underwhelming, with both their primary and secondary kits described as uninspired. The 'Inaugural Evergreen Kit' at least makes sense as a foundational primary look, featuring Colorado-inspired pine forest green. Meanwhile, established teams like Bay FC and San Diego Wave saw their third kits disappoint after previous standout designs raised expectations. Bay FC's 'Poppy Kit' needed more of the flower's signature red-and-black contrast to truly shine.

Racing Louisville's 'Disco Kit' earned points for creativity with its funky purple-and-green alternating pattern, while Seattle Reign's 'Surge Kit' broke into the top 10 with its two-tone blue design. The rankings reveal that while some teams successfully blended fashion, art, and soccer to create memorable looks, others opted for simplicity that came across as boring rather than classic.
