Kai Havertz will return to Arsenal for treatment after sustaining a "muscle sprain" while on Germany duty. He was forced off in the 30th minute of Germany's 1-1 draw with the Netherlands due to a hamstring problem. The German FA confirmed a subsequent scan identified the sprain, and the 27-year-old has now left Jurgen Klopp's squad.

Havertz was sidelined for nearly five months with a knee injury last season but has started all five of Arsenal's Premier League games this season, preferred to Viktor Gyökeres by manager Mikel Arteta. Arsenal are hopeful the latest setback is not serious. The team will next host Leeds at the Emirates Stadium on Oct. 10.
