Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been cleared to play immediately after the English Football Association and the World Anti-Doping Agency resolved his appeal against a doping ban. Mudryk received a four-year suspension in 2024 for failing a drug test that detected meldonium.

An appeal was filed with the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Crucially, WADA procedures have since changed; if Mudryk's sample were collected today, the concentration of meldonium would not have triggered charges. The FA stated that these procedural changes, while not retroactive, mean no anti-doping rule violation would have occurred under current standards.

Mudryk accepted the charges and the ineligibility period already served, allowing his immediate return to competition. He expressed gratitude for the resolution, calling the suspension the "most difficult period of my career." Chelsea welcomed the decision, pledging support for his reintegration into the squad and career resumption. Mudryk joined Chelsea in 2023 for €100 million.
