Argentina's only previous meeting with Iceland ended in a 1-1 draw during the 2018 World Cup opener in Russia. After these tuneups, Messi's team will travel to Sporting KC's training center for their base camp before Group J matches against Algeria, Austria, and Jordan in Kansas City and Arlington.
