Lionel Messi has returned to training with Inter Miami, ten days after Argentina's World Cup final loss. The club shared a photo of the 39-year-old at their Fort Lauderdale facility, where he trained at 100%. Messi had spent the previous week in his hometown of Rosario, Argentina, with his father, Jorge, who was undergoing medical treatment.

Messi was instrumental in Argentina's World Cup run, scoring eight goals and providing four assists. Despite the team's strong performance, they were defeated in extra time by Spain. Messi expressed his immense pain but also cherished the memories of their journey. He missed Inter Miami's recent matches against Chicago Fire FC and CF Montréal and was confirmed to miss the MLS All-Star Game.

It is currently unknown when Messi will return to competitive play for Inter Miami. The team has upcoming matches against the Columbus Crew and Atlético de San Luis. Coach Guillermo Hoyos emphasized the importance of rest for Messi and teammate Rodrigo De Paul, stating they will not be rushed back and will return only when fully recovered. Forward Germán Berterame, who suffered injuries in a recent match, also returned to training.
