Konrad Laimer has signed a new three-year contract with Bayern Munich, keeping him at the club until 2027. The 29-year-old defender joined Bayern from RB Leipzig in July 2023 and has since made 136 appearances, contributing to two Bundesliga titles and a German Cup victory.

Laimer, an Austria international, also played four times in the World Cup, helping his country reach the knockout stages. Despite his defensive role, he had a productive offensive season, scoring three goals and providing 13 assists across all competitions. He expressed his happiness at playing for Bayern Munich and his commitment to the team.

"For me, it's something very special to play in the FC Bayern jersey. I've often emphasised how happy I am in Munich and how much fun it is to play football in this team," Laimer stated. He added that he can contribute in multiple positions and is eager to continue giving his all for the club. Bayern Munich will begin their 2026-27 Bundesliga season at home against VfB Stuttgart on August 28.
