Taurus Bay made a winning chasing debut under Harry Redknapp, defeating No Drama This End and Talk To The Man in the Boodles Rising Stars Novices’ Chase at Aintree. The five-year-old, trained by Ben Pauling, edged a one-and-a-quarter-length victory at 13-2 odds, with Ben Jones riding. Pauling praised the horse’s resilience and speed, noting the win was a step in his development.
With The Jukebox Man injured, Taurus Bay could fill a void for Redknapp. Meanwhile, Alexei won the William Hill Molyneux Hurdle at Aintree, justifying 4-7 favouritism and signaling strong Champion Hurdle credentials.
