The Jordanian Football Association (JFA) has accused FIFA and its president, Gianni Infantino, of "blackmail" regarding World Cup prize money. Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, president of the JFA, alleged that FIFA sought his organization's support for Infantino's re-election in exchange for help recovering owed funds.

Prince Ali, a former FIFA presidential candidate, criticized the difficulties Jordanian fans faced attending the World Cup in the U.S., including exorbitant ticket prices and taxes on his association. He stated that despite FIFA boasting billions in reserves, Jordan was still awaiting prize money from last year's Arab Cup.

"It is clear the problem really is with leadership," Prince Ali stated, revealing that FIFA had refused to assist with these issues for months until a verbal offer was made during the World Cup. He asserted that Jordan, upholding ethical values, would not endorse Infantino, calling the situation "blackmail."

FIFA declined to comment on Prince Ali's remarks. Asia's support is considered crucial for Infantino's survival as president, with Europe and CONCACAF reportedly opposing him, while Africa, South America, and Oceania are expected to back him.
